Receive with Simplicity – Watch Stress Melt Away
“Receive all with simplicity that happens to you“ ~ Rashi
I sat by this creek in Utah, taking time to reflect and wonder what exciting new adventures the next decade would hold. As the water flows, I noticed the many shapes, speeds, directions, and colors the water took as it traveled toward its endless destination. While watching, I saw rough rocks above the water and smooth rocks below the surface. I was reminded of the quote above quote.
As it flows across the rocks, it will always seek to flow with ease and grace and efficiency. Thought it appears to take the “easy path”, it flows with great power and force – enough to turn a rock into a smooth stone.
In life we choose simple or complex. We can choose to flow through our challenges with ease. We ca create graceful, powerful force and allow us to rise above our perceived challenges to reach our goals.
For this decade let our motto be: “My desires, goals, dreams, loves and growth shall be but a creek flowing with great ease to their destination.” It is only when we focus on joyful simplicity of life that we melt away our stress.

The Circle of Balance model introduced in Dancing Away Stress, supports the concept that when you are engaged in purposeful, life-balancing activities aligned with your goals, values and passions, you are reducing stress.

Circle of Balance
How do you know if you are engaged in life-balancing, meaningful actions? The following activity from DancingAwayStress.com, the book will give you some insightful directions:
Activity: Set Salsa Specifc Goals
Benefits: You’ll be more motivated to complete your goals, and you’ll spend LESS time in stressful worry mode and MORE time in action mode!
Directions: Stephen Covey shares a wonderful analogy – place rocks in a jar that represent your top priorities. Then place pebbles and sand to represent the “other things.” There is always room, when our big priorities/values are in place. Once you determine your top priority goals, then establish your specific steps or objectives to accomplish those goals. Your actions are guided every day then by asking yourself if an activity is supporting your “rocks.”
Receive with simplicity. And as always….dance for joy like Snoopy!
Stifling the urge to dance is bad for your health – it rusts your spirit and your hips. ~ Adebella Radici
